One Guinea Pig dead: will the other stay fine?

My guinea pig Fluffy had just died ue to unknown reasons, leaving my other guinea Furry, alone. I'm scared that Furry will feel lonely, but he doesn't seem to have any issues. I'm confused as to how my guinea is feeling, and if Furry is actually ok, or is just hiding it. He seems to be less active though, and it's beginning to worry me. He also started biting at bars and nibbling on fingers even though he rarely did that. I'm not sure what to do.

    I'm so sorry to hear about your loss and the difficult situation your other guinea pig is in. It is possible that Furry is feeling lonely without his companion and this is causing him to act out in different ways. It is important to watch his behavior to see if he is displaying any signs of stress or depression (being less active can be a sign of depression). If he is, there are some things you can do to help him feel better. 

     
    First, try providing him with plenty of enrichment activities and toys to keep him entertained. This can help keep him active and distracted and can help reduce any possible stress or anxiety. 
     
    Second, consider getting him a companion. Guinea pigs are social animals and will benefit from having another guinea pig around. This can help him feel less alone. 
     
    Finally, make sure he is getting plenty of attention from you. Try to spend at least an hour each day interacting with him, such as playing, petting, singing and talking to him. This can help him feel loved and secure. I hope this helps.

    So sorry for your loss. Losing beloved pets is always hard. I would get Fluffy checked by your vet first. Since, you lost the other suddenly, I would get Fluffy checked to make sure there are no issues. Then I would get Fluffy a companion. Seems like Fluffy misses the company and may be acting out.
